CLASSES
During class we explore a wide variety of swing dances, such as lindy hop, authentic jazz, balboa, shag etc. We also offer private lessons. There is a waiting list for all levels. We allow 1–3 extra followers/leads per level (depending on level and class size), but you may still end up on the waiting list.

You know how to lead/follow both 8-count and 6-count basic steps, and wish to improve your technique, partner communication, dancing to different tempos and expressing yourself more on the dance floor. In this course our goal is to learn more, dance lots and have fun. Note! You can stay with this group for several years! The teachers will change the course content to suit your needs. Here too we accept dancers with or without a partner, and encourage partner rotation in class.

In addition to your lindy moves you know some Charleston and solo jazz. You wish to work on themes like musicality, partner connection and rhythm variations to add more flavor to your dancing. In this course the aim is to improve our technique and develop our own personal style. Note! Consider the course descriptions, whether you should stay another year at intermediate (most dance a while longer at an intermediate level) or move to the intermediate/advanced group.

SHORT ON CASH BUT WANNA DANCE?
We hand out a total of 250 € in scholarships every year to our Ritz Lindy Hoppers members in order to promote swing dancing in Vaasa. You can use it towards your local classes, or to travel to a workshop elsewhere. Feel free to apply for our:
